Marilyn Wilkes writes about the good, the bad, and the ugly in West Haven. A lifelong resident of West Haven, she talks about its politics, school system, food, environment, culture, people, events, and any other city issue that strikes her fancy, makes her say Wow! or causes her to see red. Love her or hate her, you’ll always know where she stands.

The first person to tell it like it is. I found your blogs to be the breath of fresh air this City needs. Too many cover ups and backroom deals. What about this blight law? Who enforces it? I drive throug the City and trash is everywhere. What is going on with Mackrille now. New Principals every year, aword is that a child was assaulted in the bathroom – just one of the eight serious offenses this year, overcrowded schools and classes held in the library. Neil lets face it, you do not have the experience to lead. Who on the BOE actually has a phd in childhood education…one person?
